In this case the Revealty agent will work with you and offer a complete package of marketing tools and professional services to help usher your home to a successful closing. But unlike traditional real estate companies we do have some different approaches: - We are always on your side and never represent a buyer and seller at the same time.
- We offer a variety of payment plans
You can choose from the following: - A per hour not to exceed the commission. In this plan you are basically working with Revealty like you work with your lawyer. You pay us by the hour for services rendered but we guarantee it will never by higher then the straight commission.
- Commission with two discount options. If we work with you on the purchase of another home we will disount our seller commission to you. If the buyer of your home isn't working with an agent we won't charge you the full commission either.
Seller tip: If you are interviewing an agent ask them about a discount on the listing commission if the buyer isn't represented. Agents love this situation because they can pocket the entire commission. But many agents will now represent the buyer and you at the same time, which means they are charging you a lot but not looking after your best interest. Keep these tips in mind: - They will tell you it's more work so they deserve the full commission. Yes it is more work and they deserve some extra compensation but not double. You deserve some discount.
- If they are going to also represent the buyer (dual agent) now you are really getting the short end of the stick. Yes they can process the paperwork and help you but they can't do anything to give you an edge over the buyer. At Revealty we never represent the buyer and seller at the same time so if your agent is telling you it has to be that way they are simply wrong.
