 Choosing A Lot
Information on choosing Central Ohio and Columbus, Ohio real estate lots and the best home location. This is one place where location, location, location really counts. This is especially true with a custom home. Buy the best lot you can afford. - Select a lot that will make the most of your house design.
- Have it reflect your personality. If you love vegetable and flower gardens then a heavily treed lot will limit your sunshine and your flowers.
- Find a lot with unique features.
- How does the location relate to your neighbors? Not enough privacy? Too removed from the area?
- Traffic issues, noise, access, etc.?
Remember when you sell your home these issues will give you an edge over the competition. For a custom market, Buyers may be able to duplicate the house on another lot and they can build exactly what they want. But if you have a unique location that cannot be duplicated, you will have a distinct advantage.
