Full Service Listing
This is appropriate for sellers who want the full range of services from their agent. The typical range is from 5% to 6% and can vary when: - The agent is also representing you on your home purchase
- The listing agent is the only agent involved in your sale and they don't have to split the commission with another agent.
The full service listing is what sellers have come to expect and are used to. Seller tip: If you are interviewing other agents beware of being oversold on features that are designed to secure more listings but do little to help sell the home. For example: Some agents will promote realtor tours when listing your home. At the end of weekly realtor meetings they will tour a variety of new listings. As a seller this sounds good because you are exposing your home to a large group of agents. But in reality the main purpose is to help secure listings for agents. If an agent has a real buyer actually looking for a home in your area and price range they will find it on the mls and add it to their search. This is much more effective then taking valuable time from the day to tour a variety of homes.
