Lewis Center is an unincorporated community in northwestern Orange Township, Delaware County, Ohio, United States, located between Columbus and Delaware. Its ZIP code is 43035. Although Lewis Center is a small village, its ZIP code encompasses a number of shopping centers and retail establishments that line U.S. Route 23 in the vicinity of the village. The Lewis Center area lies on the east side of the Olentangy River, across from the city of Powell, and west of Alum Creek State Park. It is one of the most rapidly developing areas around Columbus. It is large enough to be considered a city if incorporated, but many residents oppose a formal incorporation of the area

Lewis Center is located conveniently between several communities with Parks and Rec programs and YMCA's. Within 5-10 minutes residents can access the Powell YMCA, the Westerville Community Center, Highbanks Metro Park or several area community parks and playgrounds. Boating, fishing and camping enthusiasts have several options available to them from various nearby rivers, Alum Creek reservoir located in Alum Creek State Park.
North Orange Park is a part of Orange Township Parks and Recreation and is located in Lewis Center. Residents can enjoy all the amenities this park offers including; an aquatic center, playgrounds, athletic fields, walking trails, basketball courts, in-line skating park, skate park, sports court, neighborhood park, picnic shelters, ice skating and fishing in the pond, amphitheatre, sledding hill, sand volleyball and more. Community events are plentiful around Lewis Center. The popular Columbus Zoo is just minutes away in neighboring Powell, which hosts events such as Boo at the Zoo, Kids Zoofari, Wildlights and Eggs, Paws and Claws. Center residents are served by the Olentangy Local School District, which serves most of Southern Delaware County including Powell. Olentangy Schools has over 11,000 students and consists of 11 elementary, 3 middle and 2 high schools. In response to a population explosion in the school district during the past couple decades; Olentangy has opened many new schools and plans to open several more in the near future, to best meet the needs of the communities it serves. For the 2007-08 school year, 2 elementary and one middle school will be opening, along with one high school in fall 2008. Career and Technical education is provided by the Delaware Career Center. While being a rapidly growing district, quality has not been comprised; again on it's 2005-2006 District Report Card Olentangy Local Schools achieved an Excellent rating and met 103.3 out of 120 performance index points.
